Community Support

Stonebridge Financial Partners’ Community Support

Here is a list of a few of the community causes we support financially and/or with our time:

makeawish

Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has given hope, strength and joy to children with life- threatening medical conditions. From its humble beginnings with one boy’s wish to be a police officer, Make-A-Wish Foundation has evolved into an organization that grants a child’s wish in the U.S. every 40 minutes.

habitat

Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry which seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from Oakland County, Michigan, and the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. The organization works in partnership with God and people of all faiths and backgrounds to develop communities for people in need by building and renovating houses, creating homeownership opportunities and, in collaboration with others, transforming lives and neighborhoods. https://www.habitatoakland.org

High School Seniors throughout Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb Counties are invited to apply for the Robert A. Schuele Scholarship through Boys and Girls Club of Oakland and Macomb Counties. The Robert A. Schuele Scholarship Fund was established to honor the life of a friend, a family man, and a business professional. The intention of the Robert A. Schuele Scholarship Fund is to grant a scholarship award in an amount that will secure the attendance of a student at a major college or four-year university in Michigan. The Trustees are searching for an applicant who has outstanding character, demonstrated commitment to academic studies, significant financial need and who will take advantage of the mentoring and networking resources the Trustees intend to offer to maximize the recipients educational experience.

In support of the Robert A. Schuele Scholarship, we sponsor two annual events –

  • The Big Wine Classic is an annual golf, wine and charity event that brings together interested enthusiasts for a day of fun and fund raising. Each year, proceeds contribute to a four-year, full-ride scholarship to a deserving young person.
In the beginning, the Big Wine Classic started as a tribute to Rob Schuele, a good friend whose life was cut short. Rob’s dream was to “rock someone’s world” by sharing his good fortune with others. Each year, Rob hosted an event called Big Wine Night. It was an annual gathering where dinner guests were required to bring a rare and expensive bottle from their personal collection. Attendees would spend the evening drinking wine and celebrate their good fortune. Today, the Big Wine Classic realizes Rob’s dream and provides scholarship opportunity to college-bound students. The experience of helping to change others’ lives has not only “rocked their worlds,” but ours as well. In just three years, we have provided a four-year, full-ride scholarship to two deserving young people. It is our hope that through your generous donations and participation in the Big Wine Classic, you too will enjoy the experience of “rocking someone’s world.” “Infectus Negotium” is written on the scroll in our logo. It is Latin for “unfinished business” – the Big Wine Classic allows us to finish Rob’s business of helping others – something that will forever remain Infectus Negotium. www.bigwineclassic.com
  • The Big Bird Classic is an annual hunt event, held at Hunter’s Creek in Metamora Michigan each fall. The hunt is followed by a beautiful wine tasting. For more information, please visit www.wingsandwinesociety.com/events, or contact our office at 248-647-2400.
